This is when they are active due to low light intensity as they are nocturnal.

The hooks used should be well fixed since the fish can unfasten with the mouth. The mouth has tough texture and consistency like that of a cinder block. This method is popular and preferred by most fish anglers. There are no specific times to fish since they are found all the year in waters except during migration times. One can fish them at any time especially on the boat side.

Late afternoons and early morning hours are the best time to fish. During these hours, there is rise and fall of the tides caused by change in moon shape. In addition, they feed with changes in tide movement, so when they change during morning and evening, the water moves activating this fish. They move quickly in the water, so trapping can be easy.
